Caitlin Hedge will be joining Wit’s Folly for our 2025-2026 season!
Praised for her “dark and earthy…visceral and emotional playing” (Seen and Heard International), Caitlin Hedge’s musicianship and versatility as a genre-crossing multi-instrumentalist captivates audiences. Based in eastern Wisconsin, she is an award-winning fiddler, violinist and violist in orchestral and baroque styles, violist d'amore, guitarist, singer and songwriter. Her most recent albums include the debut recording of Allan Ramsay's The Gentle Shepherd (2025) and The Galant David Rizzio (2022) with Scottish historical performance band Makaris. Stranger, her debut solo album of original folk songs, was released in 2023. Performing frequently with early music ensembles, Ms. Hedge collaborated most recently with Philharmonie Austin, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, Apollo’s Fire, and ACRONYM. She is a section violist with Erie Philharmonic. Ms. Hedge holds music degrees from Youngstown State University, Baldwin Wallace University and Case Western Reserve University.
