Ellen Sauer Tanyeri is a historical flute and recorder specialist based in Cleveland, Ohio. She has degrees in flute performance from the Juilliard School the University of Michigan. A passionate chamber musician, Ellen plays with NYC-based ensemble Nuova Pratica and Cleveland ensembles including the Resonance Project. Other engagements this season have included Apollo’s Fire, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, and the Detroit Opera Theater. Ellen was runner up of the 2021 and 2024 National Flute Association Baroque Flute competitions and has appeared as a frequent soloist with the Case Western Reserve University Baroque Orchestra, where she is pursuing a PhD in musicology.
